Program Overview

Youth Centre Programming (9-18yrs) Check out the new Youth Centre hours, stop in anytime and hang with friends, play Xbox, computers, and games, or snack at the canteen. You can check us out on Facebook or the website.

Youth Centre Memberships - As of September, a membership is required to access all Youth Centre programming; no more drop in fees! Check out all the new great programs, first visit FREE. Cost: $20/year and $15/year for each additional child in the same family. Memberships can be purchased with cash or cheque at the Youth Centre.

Youth Programs (Ages 9-18)

Games Night  6-8pm  1st Tues of the month

Cooking 101  6-8pm  2nd Tues of the month $5

Art 101  6-8pm  3rd Tues of the month

Movie Night  6-8pm  Tues/Thurs twice a month

Munchies  6-8pm  3rd Thurs of the month

Minute to win it 1-4pm one saturday a month

Ceramics 1-4 pm one Saturday a month $3

 

Teen Programs (Ages 13-18)

Teen Night  7-9pm  3rd Mon of the month

Duke of Edinburgh  (ages 14 +) Twice a month, check site for more info www.dukeofed.org

Have a say, be a leader, make a difference. We need your ideas. A great way to get volunteer hours.

Special Events

Haunted house
At the youth centre October 31st.

CFB Gagetown JR. Idol
If you enjoy singing, than this is your opportunity to show it off. A must see event that is sure to entertain. Auditions held in February and final concert is at the Base Theatre during March Break. Preteens 9-12, Teen 13-18.

Youth lock in
Ages 11-15 April and November, 10pm-7am. A variety of sports, bowling, swimming, wall climbing, pizza and drinks. Join the all night party. (Registration is required)

March Break and Summer themed camps (Ages 5-12)
Spend time at the Youth Centre during one of our crazy and fun filled March Break or Summer camps. Week long camps available throughout the summer and day camps available during March Break.

Much Music Video Dance (March and September)
The event that is sure to get your attention. Large Video Screens and a Much Music VJ. Bring your friends and dance like there is no tomorrow. Preteens 9-12, Teen 13-18.

Info Sessions

Homework program (Grades K-8)
A one-on-one after school educational assistance program for students seeking guidance with classroom assignments and activites. register by contacting Shannon Nowell at 422-2785. Cost $10 / 45 minute session.

Stay @ Home Safety (September, January, June)
This Child Safe Canada Program is offered to youth ages 11 and up. Learn the skills and confidence to stay home alone for the first time.

Babysitting Course (March, May, October)
A must have for all young people, Ages 11 ½ and up. Learn the skills and responsibilities needed take care of a baby or child.

First Aid (February, April, November)
Real assets for everyone age 12-18; earn your level C First Aid/CPR.

Preteen Info Sessions
Watch for special information sessions dealing specifically with preteen issues and topics. Check the calendar for upcoming session.
